Direct Payment Solutions (DPS) & RMProfiler
Direct Payment Solutions (DPS) is one of Australasia’s most well-known and respected payment gateway providers. DPS currently provide an alternative integrated payment solution option for some of EstarOnline’s existing clients. DPS offer payment solutions to Internet Merchants, Call Centre Operations and Billing applications.
Some recent EstarOnline iSAMS (Internet Sales and Management System) implementations have incorporated an automated version of DPS’s Payment Express product for credit card processing online.
A recent significant enhancement is that EstarOnline’s RMProfiler (Risk Management Profiler) module is now integrated and operates in conjunction with Payment Express seamlessly for these iSAMS clients.
RMProfiler, developed in-house by EstarOnline Limited, has assisted many clients in dramatically reducing “chargebacks” that are all too common when accepting credit card payments from around the world.
The RMProfiler System through a unique scoring system instantly evaluates each element of an order received; and highlights ambiguities and any possible areas of concern with an order. RMProfiler rates aspects such as shipping and billing detail variables, originating IP address, BIN number (Bank Identification Number), number of order items and dollar value thresholds plus provides phone number origin detail for matching.
Some of EstarOnline’s prominent “etail” customers are now taking advantage of this combined service, DPS’s “Payment Express” and Estar’s RMProfiler module. The combination of these two products ensures that customers can take advantage of the latest payment and settlement solutions, while at the same time have some “peace of mind” in terms of identifying and minimising attempted fraudulent transactions via their website.
For some merchants credit card fraud when selling internationally can be as high as 5% or even more of sales volume. For those using the RMProfiler System, reduction in fraudulent transactions has been dramatic, with savings helping significantly improve the bottom line.
